New Year Eve
Today everyone is late for the meeting later. Only Hui Hui and I can make it at 2pm. Joyclene, Huiting and Bee Lan will be coming at 7pm while Brandon will able to come at 4pm as he needs to rush for the project.
I wait for Hui Hui at the lobby of gallery hotel for 30 minutes before she comes here by cab as she is caught with the jam. During the waiting, I observe so many locals at the lobby , which i think they are celebrate with their family or loved one in quiet yet expensive setting.
After check-in, we get the 9th storey floor. Then we go to our room but we cannot find the door number. Then, we realise that the number is on the floor. How innovating! Once we settle down, we decide to explore the area.
What interested me is the toilet.It is quite translucent that one can see what you do inside the toilet. I guess they thought that Hui hui and I are couple who don't mind the sensual setting. How thrilling!
I really love the room, it is very different from the standard hotel room.I love the artistic bathroom, the interior design as well as the bed with a lot of coloured cushion. It really feels like home. I can even watch HBO here. We just do not get a good view from outside. It does not matter since the weather has been cloudy and dark.
Then Hui Hui and I walk around to explore the places like the aquarium like pool as well as the gym. I am been 'wowed' by the architecture of Gallery hotel. It is so impressive to see very beautiful hotel. Of course, I never expect to see the pool is actually not that big, which I always thought of.
I even saw Celia Teh swimming there too.
The gym is very exclusive and big too. I see Augustine, the ex-body-builder and his partner train there.After that, we go to Liang Court to shop as well as to have late lunch. We sit down at McDonalds Restaurant and have meals.
THe rain starts to pour. Brandon calls that he will be late because of the rain although he does not drive tonight. Hui Hui and I go to Japanese Supermart to buy some tidbits to bring back home. It is a culture shock to be in the supermart filled with japanese, most of them.
Then we go to Kinokuniya bookstore to browse some book. Hui Hui buy one novel for herself and local book for her sister while I buy FHM magazine starring Dawn Yeo. She looks babelicious. I think she really looks like she was before in Junior College days. People grow up better and vainer. That is normal
We brave ourselves against the heavy pour and wait for Brandon to come. We try to decide where to go for dinner later. Then Bee Lan comes at 7pm with hoegarden as well as her small bag. I am wondering that if she is staying over tonight. Hui Hui and I are already hungry,waiting one by one to come.
Lastly, Joyclene calls me that she is not familiar with place hence all of use wait for her at the lobby. I know she is smart enough to locate the place fast. Then, Bee lan, Joy and I go back to hotel again because I have the key beside Hui Hui. Joy needs to put her stuff back in the room while Bee Lan needs to readjust her contact lens.
Then I tell joy that this floor is fit for smoking and she is surpised to know only the 9th storey is smoking floor and ask why. I joke that hui hui smokes and she naively believes that.
Then, Joy gives me a birthday gift in form of cute little game. I am very touched because for someone who does not celebrate my birthday every year remembers mine and even make an effort to buy for me. Am I blessed or what? That puts me into smiles
It is very beautiful moment before New Year for me actually. Yet, Bee Lan asks if my birthday is coming soon. She is really sotong. Then once done, we join Hui Hui and Brandon at the lobby. i introduce Joy to Brandon and I think there is no difficulty for them to be ease with each other. Joy as well as Brandon are such a people's people.
Joy tells me that Huiting will not join us for later because she has other plans with her girlfriends to celebrate New Year at Ministry of Sound. She does not even dare to inform me but instead , asks Joy to convey the message. Am I that mean guy? She does have her own life of course but I do feel disappointed because I told her weeks ago about the plan and she agreed to join us for the countdown.
I decide to call her to clarify that I am not angry with her for last minute change of decision.Because of this incident, I don't want to make her feel awkward to meet up with me in future, which eventually make us strangers each other and I still treasure the friendship. I just greet Happy New Year to her in advance. i still have otehr good friends of mine now.
Then we walk to Clarke Quay to have a dinner but then all the places are full. We decide to leave our name at Brewekrz and walk around the clarke Quay to see the scene on the New Year Eve. There are alot of people as well as street perfomance along the way
We decide to look for Huiting at MOS as well as to see the crowd there too. I hear it is very happening. Actually, we are awed by the long queue and the people crowd around the area.
We walk towards to the boat quay but the queue seems to be endless until the last guy is somewhere at the bridge between boat quay and clark quay. We think they are so crazy to join the queue just to club at MOS. By the time, they can manage to reach to the door, the countdown is over. We just laugh at these silly people and their intention to be part of the crowd inside MOS.
Then we are about to cross the road, we get the call from Brewerkz that we have a table for dinner. We have to walk back to have our dinner there.We order pizza, fish and chip, seafood platter and potato skins with two jugs of Orange and Apple juice.
Smses start to pour inside everyone's handphone and Bee Lan starts to get busy sending NY smses to her friends.
Bee lan: Joy, you will get your new year sms from me soon.

I get first sms greeting from Lay Sie. She is such a darling.
Then it is about time to leave the place and to reach by Esplande before 12am. We go to Grand court Hotel to use their toilets. Then we stop by at Settler's cafe to see if they do rent their games for one night. Then we walk to Singapore River.
The place is very very crowded with people. People are ready with their snow spray aerosol for the countdown. But to go to the One Fullerton is such a very slow and irritating parts. We have to squeeze through the huge crowd to get close to One Fullerton. We actually manage to stand on th road and just wait for the countdown as well as the ebautiful displays of the fireworks.
To enjoy the long displays of magnificient fireworks( better than those on National Day) with sinagporeans as well as my good friend is good start for 2006, despite the sweat and feeling warm. I am not so going to miss 2005 at all.
After that, we have to walk from here to Gallery hotel and that is a long walk too. When we walk past the MOS, there is still a queue outside, shorter but still considered long enough.We go to 7 Eleven to buy some drinks but decide not to buy any food because we seems not to have anything heavy at the hotel.
Now, the party start at hotel. First, we play the game , the gift bought by Joy. Then we decide to play old maid , using the poker card which I got free due to FHM magazine. But we first have to come up with two punishments. My punishments are 1) to do 20 pushups and 2) do a chicken little dance.
I know it is a bit lame but I cannot think of any idea at the moment. Joyclene is the most unlucky person in the group to get so many Old Maid Card, next it will be Hui Hui and then Brandon. Bee Lan and I are just lucky. They all enjoy the red wine and hoe garden while Joy and I get ourself 'drunk' by Green Tea.
Joy has to perform stripdance behind that translucent glass wall at the bathroom, doing push up and the dance cum singing performance for us.
Hui Hui does the stripdance also same as Joy while Brandon has to do chicken dance for us. Apparently, only brandon's and my punishments are being picked. Bee lan is disappointed that hers are not being picked. Luckily, hers are more ridiculus than us.
Plus she is very high and almost drunk. She starts to talk nonsense and becoming wild. We play heart attack using the same poker card. We played till 3am untill Hui hui complains of sleepiness and tiredness. Then only at 4am, we all decide to sleep. Imagine 5 people sleep in adjoined bed.
A bit squeezy but we are just dead tired. I think we should just countdown in the hotel with catered food as well as some interesting games rather than waste our energy walking around.

She suddenly gets bitch fit and start to hit her co-star and gag his mouth to make him breathless.
Director wants more violent scene.Hence the actress push him in front and hold his neck from behind and gag his mouth so tight that the co-star turns red.
After foreplay, make love, no war strategy. Actress ends up giving a kiss to her only co-star ( for New YEar as well as birthday gift )
