Life as Graduate in NTU 3 - Activities

OF course, NTU has a lot of canteens , mainly canteen A and Canteen B. I usually went to Hall 3 canteen to eat because the girl usually gave me a packet of rice with dishes enough for two people. I am such a charming guy, right. Well, Actully, I am a regular to her stall hence she recongised me and decide to give me perks.

The first place I attend in NTU

Then her foodstall was shifted to Canteen B. I love the ambience in Canteen B. I usually stay late to study in canteen B ( that was when I had a car ) with Terence. Canteen B was less crowded than Canteen A but the food there sucked. I only go there to have lunch if I had company ( which usually I did not ).

One could not deny that NTU food are cheap except those in canteen 2. I usually had my dinner with my committee member before going for meeting or my fellow zuwa hallmates.

Everytime I went to Canteen 2 just because I need to buy something at Supermarket and I would don singlet there to show off.

The second place I usually frequented is the school Sports and Recreation Centre particularly gym and the running track. Terence and I would go there for a run after our lesson even we were in different faculties. We loved running. It was quite crowded in evening because of the sport activities and the family of the lecturers or soever came down for relaxation.

The swimming pool and Running track

I did not like to go swimming pool because I had a first bad impression of it. The water taste super salty.

I also spend quite a lot of time at Student Service Centre for adminsitrative task like bus stamps, Hostel accommodations and many many more. I like this place because it stands at the highest peak in NTU area, besides the President's home. I usually go there at night ( when I stayed in hall ) to watch the most spectacular scenery.

The place where you can see almost the whole Jurong west extensions

In year 2004/2005, I always spend time in the gym in evening because I have a few subjects/modules to take. I met and make friends with people there too. I usually went to the new gym instead since the old one is being used by the dragon boaters

Life as Graduate in NTU 2 - Hall life

I managed to persuade my mum about me wanting to stay in Hall for experience. My sister did stay in hall before too. I wish to stay in Hall 2 because it has nice location in NTU. But I managed to get hall 12.

Felicia, her pretty roommates, ratna and Adeline stayed in hall 2

Hall 12 was a new hostel that time and mostly NIE trained students stay in hall 12. I am trying to persuade Guziel to stay with me because I was currently stay with NIE trained student who is hardly stay in hall.

One condition: I need to have a fridge.

So I go and bought a small fridge so Guziel would apply for hostel stay. And most importantly, he could stay with me. We did have fun doing things together like wtaching TV, jogging at night, doing laundry, listening music and sharing food.

Sometimes I go back home and brought the food home to share. Sometimes Terence came and visit us as his friends also stayed in hall 12 too. I managed to know few of the people there

I remember my good friend, Aziz came and stay overnight in our hall. It was hilarious experience.

1) We always had our meals from Hall 13 canteens
2)The TV lounge we always hang out like watching TV or reading newspaper
3)The pantry to make warm coffee
4)our room

Of course, There were the certain periods that we were on not talking terms because he could not stand my attitude and frequent rearrangement of furniture.

Hall 8, 9

This hall also left some memories for me. Julia, Siti, Huiting, Evarn and hungYong stayed at these hall. I did spend my time having study session with zuwa guys at the study room. It was short-lived though.

Then in year 2( I think ). I wish to continue to stay in Hall again but this time not with Guziel. One nice soul, Ridz asked me whether I am interested in becoming his roommate at hall 14.

Hall 14? So far....... That's what I thought but when I went to visit the room. I simply love it. It was at fourth storey( it meant that no ants, cockroach and millipedes crawling ) and near Pantry room. It meant that I would do more cooking.

Staying in Hall 14 had been a very beautiful experience in my life. No one can handle my egoistic , irritating and bastardly attitude well. He had patience with me well. No argument or talking terms. We had a lot of fun. Ridz was very sociable person and he knew almost all then neighbours and even the people in the block.

Morever, our room was very special because on left side of the wall hung a Singapore flag while on the right side hung a british flag. Poeple did turn their head into our rooms and definitely we had quite number of visitors.

I knew so many nice people like James, Jimmy, Chai Nam,Benjo, Francis,Andrew, Alan, Ming Ming, Sandia, Yee Kuan, Ailing and others whom I had forgotten their names or it was too long to list out.

I even joined Jimmy to be a Chief Programmer for the Hall 14 Orientation Camp and also the member for the social head for exco in Hall 14. I had been very active in hall activities but not my studies.

I always chill out at this TV lounge, the first one gave me memories of camp I attended

Ridz and I will do some cooking in the room like cook rice, had a mock meats. We even share with our neighbours. It was so fun actually. Sometimes, we even watch the latest movies on Ridz's laptop which he download from the school networks with the help of Manu.

However, I usually came back late to hall because I had been giving tuition and also attending gym at Orchard Road. At times, I did go back home and eat. Apparently, I did not have full hall life actually.

Morever, we always slept late like 3am because these activities usually ended at 4am at most, especially when it was during exam period. And I love their hall supper. Mingling time.

When I started to think about the past, I was not that actively involved in the hall.

Hungyong and Beelan did visit my room too. Only these Zuwans who really came to visit me personally.

luckily I did not choose Hall 13 because I needed to break free from Student Union Orientation Camp shadow even though I had a lot of good friends there.

Life as Graduate in NTU

Nothing much I am going to do this week but gym, study, jobhunt and looking good.

Hence, I will love to share my horrible experience in NTU.

In year 2000, I came to NTU alone( and in future too, I leave NTU alone ). Engineering in NTU is not my first choice, actually was my fourth choice. The first three choices are places in NUS. I love NUS more than NTU.

I love traveling and I could blend well with students in NUS for their vibrant attitude and great fashion sense.

Anyway, The only friend, close friend who came to NTU with me together is Terence. Sadly, I always hang out with my friends who were already in third years in university. I was delayed by two years because I retook my A levels again.

I came to NTU with the bang. With my huge duffer(AKA Ali Baba )bag, tight green tee and worn-out Levis jeans, I attend the lecture for first time with Terence. Apparently, I did get unwanted attention.

The first place I attend in NTU

I am being laughed at ( actually ) for being silly. I did not care.

Eversince after the orientation camp, there were numerous group meeting from lunch to dinner, to supper to anything. Well, we do not know anyone yet so the only closeness we get to know are from orientation camp. Apparently, there are a lot of engineering students attend the camp.

I belonged to General Engineering Group B. Luckily Terence also belonged to same group as me. Hence we usually attend lecture together, but mostly we do not attend lecture as regular.

Group B is very interesting group because we have three beautiful girls who dressed like Ah lians and came to Lecture in late fashion. They get attentions everytime.
One of them, Qiwei is a mannequin model. I think there were quite a number of models in group B. I won't be going to boost their f-ing ego to mention their names here.

Hungyong, Hui Hui, Juliana were few others in group B but they belong to their own clique. Terence and I were individuals in engineering group.Because of that, I hardly attend any lecture.

They were so boring.

The class I usually had my general engineering tutorial and I always sat behind

Because of lack of interest, I failed so many subjects ( which I am fully regret )

Then I am being streamed to tutorial group 9 for one year. I was quite close to Ming Wei and Wee Lip ( whom both of them were hall kings ). I also closed to Rafeeqah and Alwayiwah who were allocated same laboratory group as me and mingwei. Since Laboratory period is much longer and we need to work as group, I got more bonded to those people. I love laboratory class.

I was very reserved during the class.

I also need to attend English proficiency class which I find a waste of time.

Frankly, I was not quite happy during one year because I was not well adjusted yet. What I did is just a motion to carry on with the life as graduate but I had no passion at all.

What made me stay positove were Zuwa friends who always have a lot of activities in hall as most of them stay in Hall except me because I stay near NTU. I remembered the joy , visiting Jocelyn and Bee Lan in Hall 1 ( They were roommates )with Hung yong.

I did a lot of visits to friends stay in hall when I started to become the chairman for Union Orientation Camp.

Fre-nemies

Today my indonesian relatives are coming later. I need to get out of my house fast. I don't feel like going to gym on sunday because it is waste of time just to attend my class and I don't like to see the crowd.

My legs are still aching.

I ask David out for a swim since Dzul is too tired to go for a bowl today. We meet at Jurong East Swimming Complex at 4.15pm. The place is crowded with children and family today. I tan for awhile while David goes for a swim. Then we have fun using the facilities there.

Jurong East Swimming Complex is mini-version of Wild Wild West but it is cheap ( entry fee for weekend is $2 and weekday is $1.50 ).

After an hour and plus, we decide to go back home.

The image of the complex. I cannot take more picture because no one is watching over our stuff

Next time, I must bring more people along so we can have picnic over there while enjoying the swim.

Why people seem to take pleasure in being cruel to others is interesting. Some people see only one way to achieve popularity or self-esteem - do something, say something, to make him/her seem better than others or likely to enlarge other people's shortcomings so that his/hers are being smoke-screened.

I call that pathetic.

I don't even consume any emotional abuse ( like anger or fury ).It amuses me when people think they can get away with saying something about me. Seriously, everyone has something to say regardless bad or good about their friends but how one convey the message right or exaggerate the meaning to other people.

Rumours and gossip are often used as revenge or follow through on a threat. Threats of rumours are often used to get something out of a person ie trying to bring people down to bottomless pit or loss of friendship or kinship. But more often or not they are just conversation. Something for one person to say in order to make themselves look important or to get attention.

How to handle such gossip hounds and still maintain as a charismatic guy?
1) Don't confront the person who spread the gossip about you in a public place or with an angry tone in your voice. Causing a scene or going on the offensive will only make them feel they are justified in spreading venom. It is best to avoid this person all together and to say nothing to them

2) Spread the gossip yourself, "Have you heard what so-and-so is saying about me? What a joke!" and do it with a smile. Always sound calm and confused, never bitter and resentful.

3) Calm is key! Always be calm, even baffled, when the rumour is mentioned. If you freak out in protest it looks like you have something to hide. Even if you do have something to hide, playing it cool is always best.

4) Rather than freaking out and running around trying to set the record straight, play it cool!

I am better person. One need to realize how stupid one look when that someone he/she tell comes right to me and tells me what he/she said. Or maybe he/she just made a sarcastic remark to someone somewhere.

If people use the same social weapon on others , they will do the same sociat tactic on you. So be careful. These poeple will understand the ever-famous phrase: Who will get the last laugh?

Beware, frenemies.

Send Evarn Off

Today instead of going to gym for my usual ABT and I am so regretful not to attend it, I go to the King Albert Park McDonalds to kill time by reading, planning and fining ideas. The place is very crowded with students until an hour later, I manage to get the right and good seat.

The place is fully-renovated now. The place gives me warmth and cosy feeling, unlike the last decor, which is mostly metallic and silver, give cold and refflective feeling. I love seeing these people doing school revision.

Then I suppose to meet Kailing at 8.45pm at Clementi MRT station. I feel quite hungry and I don't feel like having McDonalds's meal. At 8pm, I go to my favourite foodcourt and order $2 chicken rice.

I still have time for shopping around Clementi neughbourhood. If you want Giordano, Bossini or even Baleno clothes at discount rate, just come to Clementi. I buy myself grater, small mirror and superglue.

I wait for Kailing at at Clementi Control Station. She asks me to meet her at taxistand outside McDonald because she is driving to Changi Airport.

This will be my second time for me to be driven by female friends beside Bee Lan. Bee Lan is known for her reckless and exciting driving. I wonder what kind of driver Kailing will be.

She needs to pump petrol at the nearest petrol kiosk. She makes a wide turn which cause her car to be a distance away from the pump machine. The pump attendant directs her to get closer to it. After the several adjustment, she manages to get the position right. The pump attendant make comments about her driving skills. Luckily, he is being nice for his words and not being sacrastic.

Then, we go out of the kiosk, Kailing make a abrupt turn out, which cause the abrupt halt and eventuall hit the kerb because the taxi cuts her lane and does not even signal. Thanks goodness, Kailing is very alert. This incident reminds me of same experience my sister had at Sembawang.

It have to be a taxi driver.

That goes my opinion about woman driver. Please don't hate me.

We reach there early, so we decide to take picture and then have a seat at one of the cafe. While walking, someone shouts Kailing's name. Kailing stops and looks at the people in front of us.I don't see anyone I know actually until Kailing tells me that is Evarn. I am surpised.

What's with the denim jacket, Evarn?

Evarn and us

There are few of his friends there sending him off. His girlfriend and parents are there. Evarn is the second friend I sent off beside Hung Yong. I take my weekend off and time to send someone whom I respect not only as an individual but as a friend I knew in NTU for his positive attributes.

He is just being misunderstood yet he take it easy and focus on being succeeded in life.

Evarn and us again

When time's up to bid a goodbye, Kailing tells me that Evarn does not even want to leave Singapore again, at the moment to France. One week stay in Singapore is not enough to spend together with the loved ones.

It has been an emotional moment when Evarn converses with us. I can see almost tears in Kailing's eyes and even Evarn's eyes. I cannot take it , nearly when we have 1 minute worth of conversation. I almost teared, and I don't even have such strong feeling when I sent Hung Yong off.

Evarn ( to us ): Time to go. Thanks for coming.
Evarn ( to me): Esjay, I respect you.
Esjay ( shocked but stay composed ) : I respect you more for you are. I am just cranky guy with a lot of fun
Esjay: I may not a good friend but I can dare to stay I am worth as one of your friends ( thick-skinned )
Esjay: So come back in good health and better shape. Who knows you might get hitched when you are coming back. So eat less potatoes.
Kailing: Better get in shape.
Esjay ( hit on his chest ): Have a little improvement in your character ( What the hell i think about )
Esjay; When you come back, we will see ourselves better persons, not only you but also me. I will want you to see me a better guy in 10 months time.
Esjay and Kailing: Take care ok.

I think there is the point we need to let go. It is so emotional. And I am still so talkative.

Kailing and I

This sets me thinking. The event makes me appreaciated close and loved ones more.If I am saying something super mushy, don't be surpised or awkward because I just want to let you know that I love you all and that I appreciate you.One must not take it for granted

Love your loved ones as much as possible NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Going back home

Kailing sends me back home and I feel so bad for a girl to send me off. Call me chauvinistic pig.I am thankful for her gesture anyway.

heart-Stopping Habit

I do not sleep whole night, and better ( or worse still) my eyes are giving me trouble due to expired contact lens. I force myself to stay awake despite I keep shutting my eyes . I keep myself busy making a breakfast, reading some online journals.

Then I cook rice for my mum before I leave to Orchard Road. Today, I fee like I am running away from home or rather homeless guy. Going to town with big bag, Messy hair, ugly spectacle, big Adidas jecaket ( It is cold in the early morning ), unkempt attire.

To add drama, I walk to te gym with with a warm coffee I bought at 7-Eleven store to perk me up. Orchard Road is deserted at 6.30am, which remind me of the time after the New Year Celebration. It is very depressing.

Image of Homeless. So fashion

Then I attend the bodycombat by Ayesha. There is technical breakdown along the way. I thought that by shifting myself near the stage, there will be no latecomers, coming to fill the space near me. I am wrong. Three idiots come to invade my space, causing restricted are for me to do my jump. It is so irritating.

Then I rush to do the bodypump. by Darren and Kristy. The number of people attend the class is much lesser. I see positive image of myself on the mirror while waiting for te class to start. I have nice, big legs, unless those guy with big chest but with chicken-like legs.

I am trying to focus on my legs and abds more than my chest and arms. One needs to have a strong legs and back ( especially lower one ) when one grows older. Yoga is one of the ancient exercise to defy ageing,

Then I spend 30 minutes in steam room detoxiftying myself. The good thing about going to gym in the morning is there is less people coming to gym and the facilities fills with no one.

I can go naked.

I even bring a loofah brush along.

Then I buy two packet of HL milk; chocolate and banana. I sit at the bench and try to recover my energy by having a high-protein sandwich I prepared early with the milks, enjoying myself watching the passer-bys walking.

I feel so positive.

Then I take train to Bukit Batok to buy my one year supply of contact lens.I feel so sleepy now, I cannot even do anything but to think of sleeping.

After buying the contact lenses, I head home. I go to sleep for 6 hours just to soothe my itchy eyes.

Btw, today episode of villa welllness is very emotional. Serene's videoclip and Lee Huey's reaction to empty video ( as her parents are camera-shy) did touch my emotional side of mine somehow.

Time Is Essential

I woke up at 7.45am. I do not wish to get out of the bed actually until I start to think that time does not going to wait for me at all. I cannot waste any minutes enjoying my bad habit: either do the change or stick to old self.

I need improvement.

After my left for work, I quickly shower , dress up and travel to Orchard Road. I do not wish to be late for the 9.20am bodycombat class. Travelling at 8am is not that wonderful compared to 6am. The train is crowded and I cannot read my newspaper during the journey.

Now, I can follow the steps of the bodycombat 25 and even memorise the whole sequence, almost.

I feel like muay thai warrior. I feel SO POWERFUL.

During the session, I develop a stomach upset but I still want to continue doing bodypump. I think I can endure for other hour and so. I must get pumped.

Time is the most important factor in assessing a person's capacity to imrove the quality of his life.

After that, I go for shower and 15 minutes of toxin-releasing through skin at steamroom.

I have Yong Tau Foo for my lunch at Cineleisure Foodcourt. I met Ben Yeo there.

Then i go back home because It starts to rain.

I am doing my job-hunt when my grandpa comes to visit us. He brings my favourite porridge, made by my grandma. They are going to visit my auntie nearby. My grandpa ask me about job-hunt. I feel like I am 21 year old guy, being asked by grandpa about my future.

Thanks to my mum for being overly-concerned.

My grandpa is very knowledgeable man, spiritually. He is like a medicine man at his times. He gives me a verse that can help me find job easily and other verse to make your enemy afraid of you. I am a little bit skeptical regarding these. They look like spells to me , and the only thing that these spells work is only with a correct intention.

It is not supposed to fall under wrong people.

However, the process to write it down on paper while trying to grasp his badly-pronounced words is very tedious. I even get scolded by him for being slow. I just smile, out of respect.

Nothing much to do in evening but to chat with my friends online

Vitamin E

I go to burger King Restaurant at Holland Village for lunch and do some revision.

When I look at the mirror, I realise that my face is flaky like hell, just like a snake shedding the skin. I look like a monster. I think I do not drink enough water today. Then I go to Guardian Pharmacy to look for Vitamin E capsule.

I manage to get the bottle of vitamin E (60 capsule) for $27.85.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects cells from damage; it plays a role in the body's ability to utilize oxygen and helps build skin.Vitamin E has also been shown to significantly help in the reduction of scaring from wounds and has been shown to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks on the skin.

Vitamin E was first discovered to be anti-aging in that it reduced MDA in the skin. Its ability to hydrate on the skin surface improves smoothness and softness, thus reducing facial fine lines & wrinkles. Its antioxidant properties is enhanced by vitamin C, which acts as its regenerator to continue scavenging free radicals .

Then, I go to Delta Swimming pool to swim for 10 laps since it is raining at Holland Village. After shower, I break the vitamin E capsule and use the oil to apply on the scar and the flaky region. It si quite oily but at least it moisturize the skin.

Then I take a bus to Holland Village to have dinner at Subway Restuarant before attending the class later.

I love subway meals.

New Day Has come

I do not even sleep whole nite. I need to attend the bodycombat class at 7pm.

Surpisingly I manage to reach Orchard Road at 6.30am. Hence I spend my 30 minutes doing chest. Anyway I make a big mistake wearing a hot pants to gym. My legs are already growing big and I feel like girlie actually.

Big mistake when you attend bodycombat. I do not want my butt cheeks to be exposed during te kicking sequences.

After that, I do some weight trainng focus on my chest and triceps before hitting the shower.

Suddenly I seems to have so much time available yet I still do not what to do with it. Hence I spend my time taking a long nap.

Shunji Matsuo Hair academy Graduation show

I wakes up at 11am and get prepared to attend Graduation Show by Shunji Matsuo Hair Academy. I got invited by Kern, one of dearest friend who is going to be graduated today. I take long time to get the right clothe and style my hair. Apprently, I look bad than good. I am wearing pants and tee, really a fashion insult. I am going to meet lilay since Kai Ling cannot make it today

Then I take a train to te north. I am racing against the time actually. I am thinking whether to buy the flower at Novena Square ( Cold Storage ) or Bishan Junction. I decide to stop at Bishan to avoid being late. I go to Raffles Florist and welcomed by the super-friendly sales assistant who is more than willing to help me to decide the bouquet based on my budget.

I manage to get sunflower bouquet at $15 instead of buying a stalk of sunflower which cost about $8. One can never be wrong giving sunflower to anyone at any ocassion because it symbolize adoration, pride and admiration.

Morever, Kern is just like a sunflower, bright and cheery whenever we meet up.

Want to show someone how much they are adored? Give them a sunflower bouquet, as the flowers represent adoration, pride and loyalty.

Then I meet lily at 1.20pm. I am not sure about the Singapore Press Holding so we take a cab there. Actually it is quite a walking distance from Bradell MRT station. Then we walk to the auditorium.

Sunflower Wish for graduated girl

Lily realises that she over-dress for the occasion somehow. I think we both are really overdressing. Then we go to the counter and collect the door gift and a star stickers. Coincidently, the star stickers match our clothing colour. There are quite a number of beautiful people loitering outside auditorium waiting to enter at 2pm. We are quite early hence, we check out what's inside the goodies bag

1) Wella Biotpuch conditioner and shampoo
2) Lip shiny gloss
3) La biosthetique instant hair care
4) Few vouchers

Lily gives her conditioner/shampoo to me since she does not use Asian-made product, therefore I give her the lip gloss since I do not use that kind of glittering gloss. Then Kern comes out for a pee. I pass the bouquet to her and give a good hug. Nice to see her before the show.

By 2 pm, the place starts to fill up with good-looking people. The organizer suggests us to have the buffet first while waiting for the show. It takes a while for people to warm up and take te food. I think it is quite inappropriate to have th food before the show. It is usually taken after the show where people will be mingling together with the graduates, the people of hair academy, the models as well as the public.

Anyway, the food is so delicious that I take a second helping.

Then at 2.15pm, we are allowed to take the seats inside but still have to wait for the show. I am not that surpised though because there are bound to be delays in such events.

1)The foods are delicious
2) Stars sticker that match our cloth colour

At 2.30pm, the show starts with a belly dance by one of the graduates, followed by the breakdance by one of the student, I think. What a way to start the show. Then the main event starts. One by one of the graduates will show their displays or the showmanships on the models' hair ( usually 3 or 4 people ) who then parade on the stage as well as the aisle where people like us can see them close. Their clothes are being sponsored by the NAFA.

Actually I am more focus on their dressing style more than their hair actaully. There are few male models parade with the hairstyle throughout the show. Worse still, the ability to show variations on the males is so limited. They display mostly punk style which of course I like but no in the use since I am searching for job.

glimpse of the catwalk ( lousy cam )

Lily is impressed with Kern's creation because she wish to have one of kern's model hairstyle. Overall, it is quite impressive but I wish for more graduates to to display their talents or perhaps more models to show the cariation of the creativity of the graduates. Lily finds that only one graduate show the theme goes well with the music. Kern's music does not support her white theme. It sound yogaic.

I am easy with anything.

The finale

After that, there is hands-on by the hairstylist of the hair academy which touch on the head spa experience , tackling loss of hair and so ever. I get bored so I tell Lily to leave early and meet Kern outside. Most of the people involved in the show are outside the auditorium

After fashion show

I manage to take picture with Kern and her models which are mostly blur.

And I look so puffy , damn I should not comb my hair to the back. Talk about disastrous creation.

I cannot manage to take most of the models because my camera battery goes flat at last minute.

Me wth Kern and her models

After sbidding goodbye to Kern, we take a cab to Toa Payoh Central. The place is quite huge actually, very heartlander. The Lily brings me to Fork and Spoon foodcourt. What astonish me that most of the stall is halal-certified. Since Lily is on vegetarian diet today due to the 15th day of the month, she orders the vegetarian noodle and satay while I order sabao soari japanese set ( $5.90 ). What astonished me again that the vegetarian satay really tastes like real satay.

Impressive.

I observe that a lot of customers visit the vegetarian stall. The main appeal about the stall is the varieties of the dishes. Imagine to have vegetarian chicken rice but taste like real one.

F&S foodcourt is much colouful and hip than Banquet foodcourt

Then we walk around and explore the place. Lily buys ham at NTUC for her lunch tommorow . After that, we decide to call for a day and go back home.

Too bad, my camera batteries gone flat or else you can see the extraordinary Toa payoh neighbourhood mall.

No sight of beautiful people, somehow.

ABT again

Luckily my mum bought the newspaper for me.

I spend my saturday afternoon, lazing around and keeps clicking my remote control in minutes, hope to watch a good programme/show.

Then I decide to attend ABT at 5.40pm at Orchard California gym because I am late for bodypump as well as bodycombat. Once I reach somerset mrt station, I realise that I do not bring a top. Hence I have to go to the Speacialist Shopping Centre and scout for tank top. I manage to get BUM tanktop which come in pair at $12.90.

Choose Medium size

At the counter, I am given 10% off for the item, which really make my day even though it is only 10%. I am trying to scrimp and save for tommorow. I need to buy a gift for Kern.

I quickly rush to the gym, get changed and book the place for lily and myself. Today, the class is very crowded actually. The number of ladies outnumber the guys attending the class. As usual, there are a lot of power squats during the session.

After that, I decide to attend Bodycombat by Collin but Lily feels a little tired today.

I do not realise that they have launch the new bodycombat, Bodycombat 25. Through the class, I did a lot of mistake in coodination and direction. I feel quite retarded actually to do differently while other look so professional despite that the new class is just launched yesterday.

I like the Muay-thai style of strut. My silent desire to be a muay-thai warrior can be displayed at Body combat. Time to but the red hand protection guard like collin's

After shower, I go to King Albert Park McDonald to have Dinner and perhaps do some reading. Some part of the place is under renovation. Hence the McDonalds restauranti tries to create the new atmosphere, a cafe-like environment. I like the browny, natural surrounding.

The place is crowded with student who are going to take te final examination which is round the corner,

Time To catch up with best buddies

There is no green teas at 7-Eleven store and that's pathetic so I ahve to go the Cheers convenient store to buy my favourite green tea. On the way to gym, I bump into Sam and his working colleagues. We just exchange smiles.

I do not attend the Bodypump Class today at 5.20pm because after going for 30 minutes hill-programmed run on treadmill, I smell very bad. It must the singlet which I wore before for the cardio and then wear it again.

I, being self-conscious, go to changing room and take a shower to avoid bad impression. The words by mouth spread very fast in california gym. I have my 15 minutes of steam bath to make my face redder.

Coincidently, Bee Lan calls me whether I want to meet earlier since she can leave soon. We decide to meet at Orchard MRT control station. Today, I am wearing Zara long sleeved shirt and pants, looking smart just to meet old buddies. It have been a long time , we last met up.

Bee Lan has a new hairstyle. Permed somemore.

I carry her bulky laptop, and we walk to Zara Boutique. She need to do replacement for het top because one of the button chippd off. Apparently, she is not allowed to change the merchandise as she tears off the price tag hence there is only the button replacement.

It is still 6.45pm and early. We decide to hang out at Borders cafe for awhile while waiting for Hui Hui to come. We have a hearty conversation , mostly about her Shanghai working trip, meeting with Hung Yong there, Holiday plans.

She orders Borders Iced Lemon Tea while I order my favourite desert, Brownies. The same brownies I had with lily during my birthday

Bee Lan's New hairstyle, any coments?

Hui Hui is not meeting us at Orchard Mrt Station but at the exact location because she is taking the company bus here. We walk towards the Orchard Parade Hotel Arcade and decide to wait for Hui Hui at the Cafe Larissa itself. Once Hui Hui arrives, we start to order the dishes of different meats and eat ala buffet.

1) Grilled Squid 2) Ayam Kalasan
3)Sambal Fish
4) Sayur Chap Cheoy

We talks about Shanghai again, reality of life, asset and finance management and PMS. The good things about meeting them that we can never run out of topic for our conversation. Never.

We have a good laugh also.

Then we take a light stroll to the bus-stop. Hui Hui is going to Johore Bahru to attend Eki's wedding there. Sometimes, there are so many things I can do but because of the financial difficulties I am facing, my life is not that exciting.

The excitement and the thrill of life is being inhibited by the shortage of money,

I need a job.

Then we take a bus 7, stop at Orchard Emarald and walk to thhe Cinelesuire Complex. I am going to recommend the one of my favourite chill-out cafe, Galileo & Friends. Hui Hui also has not been shopping for weeks. This is an opportunity for them to stop at the stores and window-shop at the second storey.

Then we settle down outside the cafe and scan the menu. They are impressed by the vast choices of food and drink. I order my usual Dinosaur.

But No brownies again.Or else I am getting browniaphobic

The colour of the drinks we order are not that visually appertizing

After the laughs and taling, Hui Hui decide to order Hunky Chunk ( which is the potatoe wedge with cheese toppings over them ). I decide to pay for that because they pay mostly my meal and drink which makes me feel guilty and bad. They always foot the bill for me and I insist that we split the cost.

I still can afford to pay my own meal. I do not wish to create the mentality that everytime they go out with me , they must foot bill for me.

I feel like a gigolo minus sex service.

The colour of the drinks we order are not that visually appertizing

The topics of the cafe converstion
1) Bee lan's interest in Salsa Dance and ask me to join her.
2) Hung Yong 's return and the plan to meet him
3) Career propect
4) Idealogy of Love and realtionship
5) Plan to have New Year Countdown in one of the hotel with close friends.

I always realise that I always look good with them. I wonder why.

After that around 11.30pm, we decide to go back home before meeting again in two weeks time to make the picture complete.I take a bus home

The frienship make the perfect picture

New resolution

It is my first time to attend Bodypump at 7am.

I go out of my house at 6.50am, and it is not a good day to start because waiting for a bus in the morning for almost 15minutes almost cause anger. Worse still, the driver drive the bus above safest speed. I think I walk to Boon Lay interchange take lesser time than taking a public transport

I am really despise such drivers. I really do not what's in their mind actually. I pity those who wake up early but still go to work late and when the boss ask you why you are late, you try to explain that the bus driver's fault which of course the boss won't buy your excuse and blame you for waking up late.

I can relate that experience before.

Then I reach the gym at 7am, quickly put on my contact lense and change into gym attire. I take the board and the weighta nd finish up the warm up which is halfway done. At least Cheslyn's smile make my day slightly better.

Today, I realise that Cheslyn is doing the new launch of bodypump. Yes, It is much tough than previous one. Doing bodypump on empty stomach induce vomit and cause weakness. And those people around me, even aunties carry heavier weights than me.

And I am doing my bodypump in front of Cheslyn, in the middle of the studio.

I am nearly feel that my soul is trying to escape from me because I feel so light as if I am floating. That is bad sign because it is the sign of fainting.

Endure with the help of overdose of drinking water.

I can make it.

Then I take a 10 minute rest before going tof yoga by Dee Pak. The class is consist of aunties and I am the youngest among the few attendees ( about 10 people ). Deepak's yoga is little slow and relaxing. It means I wont perspire much but more relaxed.

Then I go back home

THINK you can get away with irresponsible, racist remarks on the Internet?

I am shocked to know that even blogger can be arrested for writing his/her personal view on his/her personal virtual space. But these people are going too far to write malicious entries especially racial issues.

BLOGGERS have become used to letting off steam, while invective in Internet forums is nothing new. Yesterday, however, the online community received a little reminder that real laws still apply in the virtual world.Netizens may watch their words

The case is likely to have a temporary "chilling effect" on the Internet community, Everyone will definitely become more careful about what they say.

Blogging is no different from other forms of speech in everyday life. Many bloggers do not know the law, unlike trained journalists. People assume there is a cloak of secrecy

In possibly the first such case here, two Singaporeans have been arrested for allegedly posting extremely racist remarks on their blogs. They are also believed to know each other.

Both bloggers had caused outrage among netizens with their racist entries in the past few months. The New Paper has been on the trail of Tom since June this year, when he first posted an offensive entry. We are not naming the race or religion insulted so as not to publicise his remarks. The entry contained many vulgarities.Tom's words incensed both members and non-members of the race and religion insulted. The URL of his blog spread like wildfire through e-mail messages, online forums and even SMSes, and the comments and insults came pouring in.His blog was 'flamed' - within a week, over 300 comments were left on Tom's blog about the offending entry. Many of the comments were as vulgar as the original blog posting.

Some even threatened violence - several bloggers threatened to beat Tom up, saying they knew what he looked like and where he lived. They had found his particulars from other websites and forums he was a member of, such as Friendster.

Lawyer Wilson Wong said the two bloggers' entries 'may constitute an offence under the Sedition Act or the Undesirable Publications Act'.

Under the Sedition Act, first time offenders who 'promote feelings of ill-will and hostility between different races or classes of the population of Singapore' could be fined up to $5,000 or jailed up to three years, or both.

Repeat offenders may be jailed up to five years.

Under the Undesirable Publications Act, any person who makes any 'objectionable publication' which deals with 'matters of race or religion in such a manner that the availability of the publication is likely to cause feelings of enmity, hatred, ill-will or hostility between different racial or religious groups', while knowing or having reasonable cause to believe the publication to be objectionable, can be fined up to $5,000, jailed one year, or both.

Don't think you can get away leaving ridiclous and malicious comments or entries in virtual. Think again.

One theory of prejudice is that the kind of bigotry you see in these blogs comes from personal insecurity.

Spending with Parents 2

I wake up late AGAIN. What's the problem with me?

Today, I spend another quality time with my parents again. My mum wants me to accompany them to Expo as well as yellow ribbon fair at Chaing Prison. But we skip the yellow Ribbon fair because the journey from the west to east takes about an hour and I don't think we have time to reach the changi.

We take a train there since my mum does not ask my sister along.

Along the way, I saw so many beautiful girls and I manage to get their attention. Maybe they find me so endearing to see me ,still going out with my parents. It is so rare.

This time, I am going to the International Halal Food fair with my parents. Last week, I went to International Food Fair with Lily. The good things about going out wit parents is they will foot the bill for me. I just buy whatever food I like along the way and ask my mum to pay for me. I am such a pampered brat.

However the food is quite expensive. I do not know why my mum buys all kinds of tidbits home. No one will eat those stuffs except me. I am getting fatter and I don't want to look fat when I am still single.

Then we look for a place to sit down so that we can order the food and enjoy. Time to be glutton again.

I order Shark fins soup ($2), Japanese Pizza ($2.50), Milo ($1.50), two hotdogs ($2) for myself while my mum orders spicy nonya rojak, Laksa and Mee Bakso as well as her all time favourite beverage: Chendol. I order Mee bakso because I am trying to flirt with this girl who sell the dishes there. I have not try mee Bakso as it looks healthy.

It is horrible so I pass to my mum to finish it up. The rojak si damn hot and spicy yet I still wnat to finish up the gravy. My mum chides me for being foolish. I just get orgasmic while eating hot stuff. End up I am looking for drink now.

I keep my cool, despite feeling burning hot because there is cute girl walking to and fro near , looking for a place to sit.
I tells my mum about that girl and she says that she is very fair and beautiful. We both have same taste in women.

She steals glance at me. Accomplished.

If you keeps staring hard at someone, psychologically the person will feels the vibes and looks at you back. Go and experiment.

Then we bump into grandauntie there. This is the second time that I am told to buy the car for my parents' convenience.

I am still seeking job, aunties ( I do not say that because I NEED to look after my mum's reputation ). Hence, just give 1 million smiles at them.

Then we walk around again to do last minute shopping. So many food yet we do not even buy much unlike last time. Maybe we feel too full to buy the food, or even try the samples. I love samples/freebies but my stomach is too full to take anymore food.

Then we go to the second storey to shop for sports clothes. I manage to persuade my mum to get me a running shoes cost only $30. I just love it. I am so pampered brat ( again).

Then we go back home and the journey is long

C-Teas, Otah-Otah, Dates, Rojak, Variety of food and my meal

Spending with Parents 1

Today I miss my ABT as well as bodycombat session in California just to spend a quality time with my parents. Somehow I need to spend more time with them as much as I can.

I get ready and wear green shirt and jeans as later, we need to attend our neighbours' son's wedding ceremony at Depot Road, Before that, my parents need to attend the feast at Choa Chu Kang. We take taxi to Boon Lay. From there, my youngest uncle send us ( my grandparents, my auntie/uncle and us ) to there using his company van.

Me in green Shirt

By the time we reach there, the feast has started but I decide not to join them but to go to Limbang Shopping center and just wait for my mum to call me.

I buy a small notebook and a pen and settle at McDonalds restaurant. I buy a small milo and write my thoughts while waiting. There are things that I observe for one hour at McDonalds Restaurant about the residents in Choa Chu Kang

1) People here like to ride bicycle including women ( I start of buying one )
2) The people here are gorgeous , especially the guy ( I feel so intimidated )
3) A lot of students carry sports equipments like tennis/badminton racquet, basketball , soccer ball and running shoes.

At 6.45pm, my mum calls me to meet her nearby. Then we walk to the main road to hail for taxi. We bump into my other aunties who are also attending the feast later.

I just want to beat my naughty younger cousin up. He hit my groin for no reason and it is so painful. I really want to push him to the road. Luckiliy, her mum is my favourite auntie. I always try to avoid him because I am so afraid to be playful with him because his mum is very (over)protective.

Then we manage to get the taxi and reach to the temple at 7pm. The place is very colourful and even the ladies are clad in very fashionable, bright saris and nice, golden accessories.I am always fascinated with their traditional clothes. Not all can look good in sari.

Not all ladies can look elegant in sari

We bump into the younger brother and lead us to the wedding hall. This is our first time to attend Indian wedding and even watch the wedding procedure. There is something to strike off in my dream list. My mum is quite excited to watch the actual event instead of watching them on documentary on Tv and VCD brought by my sister.

In front of us is the chinese family where the mother and her daughter are wearing sari costume.

Sexy.

Then have a sweet peanuts and also other one which we are not sure what it is. At last, everyone start to throw that thing ( I believe is the yellow rice ) to the front to end the wedding ceremony. I guess it may be the blessing of acceptance for the newly-wed.Then everyone start to leave their seat to exit. We also follow suit

We manage to get the seat to have our nice wedding dinner at reception. I just love curry and the achar, similar to Komala fast-food resturant. I even have a second helping. They also give us ice-cream. Then after that, we go up again to give the token in form of money to our neighbour.

On the way out, I bump into that chinese girl who clad in sari. We exchange smile at the staircase. Oh gosh, I feel so paedophilic. Then we take taxi home. My mum checks the gift and it is golden plate which engraved elephant god and sweets.

I have fun today to have a new experience . i should have wear the attire, indian style. I have a couple of them. I am definitely look sexy in that. Damn!

I will talk about the Indian Fashion one day.

Keppel Family Day

Today I wake up early just to attend a family day at Downtown East at Pasir Ris by my father's company. This time, we have additional family member ie my brother-in-law. My sister come and fetch us and then embark our journey to east.

As usual, the place is full of the foreign workers, mainly from India and Bangladesh. My father socialises with the people there. I am forced to put on the smile and look sweet. I am not sure why my father likes to introduce me and sister to his friends.

I guess my father is proud of us, in spite of wearing a diamond stud earring on family day. My mum is so particular about reputation and I am against taking off it.

Then my sis and her hubby queue for the food ( KFC meal ) while my father goes to collect the door gift which is actually the foldable stool. I feel a little weird, wearing green singlet and big shades.

Then we decide to sit down near the place where the tug-of-war game is being commenced. Goodness, we have the foldable chair for mum to sit while the rest of us sit on the grass. My mum bought three packet of nasi lemak for my sister and her hubby as well as my father.

It's meant for me actually but then, I tell my mum to give to father since he does not eat KFC meal. I am quite adaptive to food. I can go for KFC meal anyway. From my mum's eyes, I know she is proud of me for having such piety.

I am such mama's boy.

The weather is sunny, although I hate wearing hair accesaries

But going with parents is a little bit restricted and boring. I need to ask their permission to go anywhere. I am like 28 years old now and still clinging on my parents. My sister is so lazy to move around. I am dying to go to Wild Wild West to get wet. It tells a while before they start to move and enter the WWW area. I manage to secure the table for us.

I walk around and am little disappointed with the place actually. Nothing beats Sunway Lagoon at Kuala Lumpur. There are so limited kinds of rides. I will opt for the one at Jurong East for similar fun actually. People all around the place, sitting on the mats , enjoying the splash and getogether.

Then the clouds start to get darker. There goes the fun when the lifeguards tell them to be out of the premise for safety since there are lightnings and thunders. The scenario of people running around and aimlessly remind me maybe of the situation at New Orleans when Hurricane strike the area. I tell my mum about this and maybe this may be a similar situation when the doomsday comes.

Thanks goodness, I do not participate in any rides. No one accompanies me also.

The rain won't stop that fast and we are getting bored. So we go to attend the performance by the working people of my father's company. Actually we are amused by the bangladesh gimmick.

It is their dream to dance on the stage. They just take the opportunity to be in limelight.

Everyone is waiting for grand lucky draw but tis time, my father does not win any again. Then we go back home.

I have fum , spending quality time with my parents on Sunday.

The weather start to get cloudy, end up raining heavily

Apparently, I am anticipating the chinese serial, A date with Vampire 3 tonight. I love Ma Xiaoling.

Comex Exhibition

I wake up early to buy newspaper today. Straits Times paper on Saturday is very thick.I browse for the Recruit session but I cannot find any good opening today. I am little bit disappointed today.

Then I go to Orchard Gym for the Bodycombat. I am nearly late for the class but I make a space for myself despite the large crowd. Then I stay for ABT class by James. Quite a few people attend his class. Lily and Yvonne are not going to attend the class anymore since they are at Bugis for Hip Hop class. I guess I am all by myself every saturday. As usual, The class is quite tough but the result to get nice butt and legs is priceless.

And the Abs too.

Then I go for sauna for awhile.James enters the sauna room and we have a conversation. It may quite awkward for James ( and me ) to face me and talk since the guy who sits beside me are totally naked.

Me: Today is quite different somehow. Since when you start to be cranky?
James: I do not know. I am not like this usually. I am feeling bitchy today
Me: Yeah, I think.
James: Maybe it is good, the communication between me and the people are more like friends than intructor-trainee relatiosnhip. As long they understand the message across especially the correct posture to do the abds.
Me: Yeah, laughter can tighten our stomach muscle too.

I rush to meet Lily who is meeting at HMV@citylink. I accompany her to COMEX exhibiton since she wants to buy Blank CDs, Speaker and headset for her webcam.
We stop at 7-Eleven store first because I am quite hungry after gym . I buy packets of Milo and HL milk and Chicken pie from Polar

Me: Can I have one chicken pie?
Me( to Lily): Only $1.60.
Lily: Got promotion on hot-dog pie,2 for $2.40
The girl stares at me blankly.
Me: No, I just want one chicken pie.
Girl: ok. $1.60
Me: There is no other meats right in this pie?
Girl: No, just chicken.
Me: thanks.

Then we decide to go to 6th storey first to hunt for the accessories first for lily before searching for myself. I need to buy a mouse. Then we go to 4th storey to look for better bargain. Then, we manage to get what we want actually. I buy myself keroppi mouse. It looks cute and green.

Then we decide to visit the International Food Fair. We secure on sitting place and sout for our favourite food. I buy Ice Strawberry which cost me $4 while Lily buys herself a Sharks fins soup with codfish. I enjoy having a meal with the rest of the people here.

Strawberry Ice and Sharkfins soup

Then we walk around as Lily wants to buy mee suah for her mum but decides not to because she calls her mum and her mum says not to buy anything. Lily is quite surpised to stay late on Saturday.

After that, we are going back home by train. My mum calls me to go back home because I need to wake early because my whole family are going to Downtown East at Paris Ris for my father's working palce family day.

I feel strawberrilicous

Charmed Re-Union NOT

Today I am going to meet david to accompany me to COMEX exhibition at Suntec City. I am nearly late but he is later than me. I am told by him that Guziel is coming too. I am quite surpised actually but he does not tell him that I am coming. I know it. I am given anonymous name by him.

I walk around the Raffles City before meeting them at City Hall interchange at 7pm. Then we had a dinner at Foodcourt at 3rd storey again but this time, I just have a fruit juice of strawberry and watermelon. I need to lose 3 pounds.

Then we walk to Suntec City but there is human traffic congestion at the overhead bridge. Hence, Guziel suggest to go there by alternative route ( by Marina Square Mall). This time, I do not want to lead. I hate the Marina Square floorscape. I get confused to go to the right destination. Sam gets pissed of because Marina Square.

However, I still do direction to Suntec City.

The place is very crowded. I just want to check out the printers there while David seeks scanner. The place closes at 9pm yet we reach the place at 8pm. As usual, I am quite worried that we may not be able to comb the whole place as our curiosity and interets will make us stop at certain booths and delay.

According to Brandon, Xerox is a good brand for laser printer.I manage to get the booth and collect the brochure.

I am wearing pink Tee

Then we quickly to the 6th storey to browse around. Nothing much at 6th storey unless you are into XBox and Creative products. Then we walk back to City Hall. My legs are aching actually.

David asks us what our plan later. I don't mind hanging out for one hour before going back home. I am also open-minded about going back home too. However, Bunawar decides to go home. Therefore, since everyone is tired, we all go back home.

I think I know the real reason.I am pretending to be something they're not, but Someone is too smart to be fooled.

According to today horoscope

Is it getting hot in here, or is a certain bossy type making things more difficult than they have to be? Don't do anything to draw their ire. Instead, continue to pour your efforts into your current project.

Today, my behaviour is quite mild and I am playing goody-old-shoe tonight. But people want to play safe.

Anyway, throughout the journey, David and I have a hearty conversation, a conversation which is not meant to be striked. Truth about people's behaviour and manipulation by the name friendship has revealed. We both are mature enough and take things easy, somehow.

Each of us believe in ourselves more than other people's opinions about us.But not too much as it leads to being a proud jerk.

I love mind games.
